Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope that the spirit of Valentine's Day carries through the rest of the year.  As with all holidays, I dislike the more and more commercialized that any holiday is becoming.  When we strip away all of the cheesy Valentine's gifts and President's Day Sales I think that we're able to focus what's really important about this weekend's holidays.  Our significant others and dead presidents (in that order).
I probably need a holiday to remind me about dead presidents significant place in history but I do not need a holiday that tells me that I should tell Megan that I love her.  That is done everyday.  Although, I see the value of Valentine's Day single and available individuals that have a great desire to find someone to spend this holiday with them.

I think that Ash Wednesday should be more commercially popular than it is.  There's nothing cooler than celebrating the beginning of Lent and 40 days before Easter.  I was at the supermarket the other day and I saw the holiday candy aisle, on one side of the aisle was Valentine's Day candy and the other side had Easter candy.  This took me by surprise a little bit because I have totally not been in a Spring or Easter
mindset.  I was like, "Oh yeah. Easter is like a month and a half away."  The one must have of Easter candy are the Cadbury Mini Eggs.

Reading this post got me really excited for Easter candy. Quite possibly the best holiday candy selection. And also, I love you.
